Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented Technical Writer to join Clients team and contribute to the creation of high-quality technical documentation for our wireless communication products and solutions. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology, excellent writing skills, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear and concise documentation.
Location: Dallas, TX or Santa Clara
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and marketing, to gather information and create technical documentation for Clients Networks' products and solutions.
- Write, edit, and maintain a variety of technical documents, including user manuals, installation guides, API documentation, release notes, and technical specifications.
- Ensure that technical documentation adheres to established style guides, formatting standards, and branding guidelines.
- Translate complex technical concepts and jargon into clear, understandable language for a diverse audience, including customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Conduct research and gather information from subject matter experts to accurately document product features, functionalities, and specifications.
- Review and revise existing documentation to improve clarity, accuracy, and completeness, incorporating feedback from stakeholders as needed.
- Work closely with product management and engineering teams to ensure that technical documentation is aligned with product development timelines and release schedules.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in technical writing and documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Communication, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a technical writer in the telecommunications or technology industry, with a strong portfolio of technical documentation.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in documenting hardware, software, and networking technologies, including familiarity with wireless communication protocols and networking concepts.
- Experience working with documentation tools and software, such as MadCap Flare, Adobe FrameMaker, or Microsoft Word.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects with competing priorities and deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and content management systems (e.g., Confluence) is a plus.
