ABOUT THE ROLE

As Sortly continues to grow and evolve, the complexity and scope of our product offerings and integrations are expanding. We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Technical Product Manager who can bridge the gap between technical feasibility and business strategy, ensuring that our integrations and APIs enhance the overall customer experience and drive significant business value.

The candidate should have a background in software engineering, strong business acumen, and a passion for data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will have experience working with APIs, leading and implementing integration strategies, and effectively communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. AI experience is a plus.

The role reports to the Director of Product Management with strong collaboration across executive and leadership team members.

WHAT YOU WILL DO


Product Strategy and Roadmap

  • Develop and execute Sortly's integrations strategy, aligning with overall product vision and company goals.
  • Define and prioritize product features, enhancements, and integrations based on customer feedback, market research, and business objectives.
  • Work closely with the engineering team to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of product features.

Technical Leadership

  • Guide the development team in complex technical requirements. Lead API development initiatives, ensuring robust and scalable integrations with third-party platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain API solutions that enhance product capabilities.

Customer Facing Discovery

  • Engage with customers to understand their needs, pain points, and use cases to inform product development.
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and other discovery activities to gather insights.
  • Synthesize research findings into actionable product requirements and roadmaps.

Business Acumen

  • Conduct technical market analysis to identify new opportunities for integrations that have a potential to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop business cases and ROI analyses for proposed integrations and product features.
  • Partner with sales, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure alignment and effective go-to-market strategies, especially around integrations and APIs.

Data-Driven Storytelling:

  • Leverage data analytics to inform product decisions and measure the impact of new features and integrations.
  • Create compelling narratives around product vision, strategy, and performance to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators and product success metrics.

Customer Obsessed:

  • Drive customer-centric solutions by prioritizing features and integrations that deliver the most value to our users.
  • Act as the voice of the customer within the organization, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Focus on driving the adoption of new features and integrations through effective communication and support.

Collaboration with Design, Product Marketing, and Sales:

  • Work closely with the design team to ensure user-friendly interfaces and consistent user experiences across all platforms.
  • Collaborate with product marketing to develop core messaging and positioning for new features and integrations, especially for our ICPs.
  • Ensure alignment on unique selling propositions and effectively communicate these to sales teams.
  • Partner with sales teams to understand customer requirements and demo solutions that address their needs.
  • Gather feedback from sales teams and customers to continuously improve product offerings.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in product management with a focus on technical products and integrations.
  • Previous experience as a software engineer or in a technical role.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading API and integration projects.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, web services, and cloud technologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling abilities, capable of translating technical concepts into business value.
  • Experience with AI technologies is a plus.
  • Strong discovery skills with experience in user research and usability testing.
  • Strong collaboration skills working with tech and non-tech internal and external audiences.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Ability to work across multiple time zones when needed (e.g. development team is in IST).
