Responsibilities of the Senior Technical Accountant:

  • Revenue Recognition: Lead the assessment and implementation of revenue recognition policies in accordance with ASC 606 for our diverse range of technology products and services.
  • Technical Accounting Guidance: Stay informed about emerging accounting standards and provide guidance on their impact on the company's financial statements.
  • Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Stock-based Compensation: Manage the accounting for stock-based compensation, including stock options and RSUs.
  • Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams: Work closely with finance, legal, and other departments to ensure seamless integration of technical accounting considerations into business processes.
  • Audit Support: Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process and ensure compliance with GAAP.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to streamline technical accounting processes and enhance efficiency.

Qualifications of the Senior Technical Accountant:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA certification is required.
  • Extensive experience (5+ years) in technical accounting roles, preferably in the technology industry.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and experience with ASC 606 and other relevant accounting standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical accounting concepts to non-accounting stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
