Responsibilities of the Senior Technical Accountant:
- Revenue Recognition: Lead the assessment and implementation of revenue recognition policies in accordance with ASC 606 for our diverse range of technology products and services.
- Technical Accounting Guidance: Stay informed about emerging accounting standards and provide guidance on their impact on the company's financial statements.
- Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Stock-based Compensation: Manage the accounting for stock-based compensation, including stock options and RSUs.
- Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams: Work closely with finance, legal, and other departments to ensure seamless integration of technical accounting considerations into business processes.
- Audit Support: Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process and ensure compliance with GAAP.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to streamline technical accounting processes and enhance efficiency.
Qualifications of the Senior Technical Accountant:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA certification is required.
- Extensive experience (5+ years) in technical accounting roles, preferably in the technology industry.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and experience with ASC 606 and other relevant accounting standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate complex technical accounting concepts to non-accounting stakeholders.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
