Senior Tax Manager
We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Manager to join our team and contribute to the management of tax matters related to a significant residential portfolio valued at approximately $7 billion in assets under management (AUM). Responsibilities:
- Assume primary responsibility for tax matters related to the residential portfolio.
- Manage engagements with third-party tax preparers for tax return preparation and deadlines.
- Review federal, state, and local tax returns and K-1s across various entity types.
- Lead special projects, including mergers and acquisitions planning and IRS audits.
- Review quarterly and annual REIT compliance and provision for income taxes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- CPA or equivalent experience required.
- Minimum of 7 years of tax experience, preferably in a corporate tax department.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in tax research and analysis.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and interact with senior management.
