Job Details

Key Responsibilities:

1) Tax Planning and Compliance:
  • Prepare and review complex tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and other entities.
  • Provide expert advice on tax planning strategies, deductions, credits, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Conduct thorough tax research to stay updated on changing tax laws and identify opportunities for tax optimization.
  • Assist clients in resolving tax notices, audits, and inquiries from tax authorities.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop effective tax planning strategies that align with their financial goals.

2) Client Relationship Management:
Build strong and trusted relationships with clients, serving as their primary point of contact for tax-related matters.
  • Understand clients' unique needs and goals to provide tailored tax advice and solutions.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to add value to client relationships and provide exceptional client service.
  • Address client inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to ensure their ongoing satisfaction and to identify additional service
    • opportunities.

3) Team Collaboration and Leadership:
Collaborate with a diverse team of professionals within the firm, including accountants, auditors, and advisors.
  • Share knowledge, insights, and best practices with colleagues to enhance the overall quality of service.
  • Mentor and coach junior team members, providing guidance and fostering their professional growth.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and developments, sharing relevant information with the team.
  • Contribute to firm-wide initiatives, such as business development activities and process improvements.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA certification is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in tax planning and compliance at a public accounting firm.
  • Solid knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficient in tax software and research tools (e.g., CCH, RIA Checkpoint, Thomson Reuters).
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze complex tax issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients and team members.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple engagements, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong client service orientation and a dedication to delivering high-quality work.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
