We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Tax Accountant to join our finance team. This is a permanent position that offers the successful candidate the opportunity to play a pivotal role in our organization. The Senior Tax Accountant will be responsible for preparing and reviewing complex tax returns, providing tax planning services to our clients, and ensuring compliance with federal and state tax laws. You will be working with a variety of business entities including S Corp, LLC, and 1040. This role is ideal for someone who is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and has a solid background in public accounting.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Tax Accountant, you will:
1. Prepare and review complex tax returns including federal and state, individual, and business entities (S Corp, LLC, 1040).
2. Provide tax planning and consulting to our clients, ensuring that they are informed about potential tax benefits and liabilities.
3. Research and interpret tax laws, regulations, and court rulings to ensure compliance and to develop tax-saving strategies.
4. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting.
5. Assist in the development and implementation of tax strategies and policies.
6. Participate in audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities.
7. Keep abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations and provide updates to the team and clients.
Qualifications
To be considered for the position of Senior Tax Accountant, you must have:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role as a senior tax accountant.
2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.
3. A strong background in public accounting.
4. Extensive knowledge of federal and state tax laws, as well as experience preparing individual and business tax returns (S Corp, LLC, 1040).
5. Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret tax laws and regulations.
6. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to clients and colleagues.
7. A high degree of professionalism and integrity.
8. Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
