We are seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This is a unique opportunity for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to leverage their tax expertise and lead our tax department. The selected candidate will be primarily responsible for overseeing all tax-related activities, including tax planning, compliance, and research. As a Senior Tax Accountant, you will also play a strategic role in minimizing tax liabilities, ensuring accuracy in tax reporting, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations.

Job Details

Responsibilities:
  • Manage/prepare all tax operations, including tax planning, compliance, and research to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting.
  • Develop and implement strategic tax planning initiatives to minimize tax liabilities and risks.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of federal, state, and local income tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors for tax audits and examinations.
  • Keep abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations and provide guidance on the financial implications to the organization.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the tax team, fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide tax advice and support business decisions.
  • Prepare and present tax reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree in Taxation or related field is preferred.
  • A plus if you hold a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.
  • Minimum of 1 years of experience in a tax
  • In-depth knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance, and all types of tax returns.
  • Strong understanding of tax code, compliance, and procedures for corporations.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex tax information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to ethical standards.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
