We are seeking a dynamic individual to fill the newly created position of Senior Tax Accountant. Join our team and play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with US indirect tax regulations while fostering productive relationships within our business units and external partners.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Act as the primary liaison between our units and external tax providers, ensuring timely and accurate filing of US sales and use tax returns and gross receipts returns.

Collaborate with businesses to develop and implement indirect tax policies and procedures, including the management of customer exemption documentation, use tax accrual and remittance, and reconciliation of tax discrepancies.

Work closely with Project Managers and business units to refine tax tables for both new and existing ERP systems.

Support indirect tax audits, inquiries, and data gathering efforts.

Enhance data accuracy and streamline processes for collecting indirect tax data.

Stay abreast of tax developments and legislative changes, communicating pertinent updates to upper management and business units.

Manage quarterly excise tax returns by gathering information from business units.

Ensure compliance with unclaimed property tax reporting through liaison with business units and external providers.

Contribute to due diligence efforts regarding indirect tax implications of acquisitions, dispositions, and restructurings.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in tax, accounting, or related field, or equivalent experience.

4-6 years' experience in indirect tax roles within a large corporate environment or public accounting.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Strong multitasking and prioritization skills to meet statutory and internal deadlines.

Excellent interpersonal, project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Proven ability to collaborate effectively with team members and build professional relationships within the company.

Proactive approach to identifying tax planning, tax mitigation, and sustainability opportunities.

Working knowledge of SAP is advantageous.

Experience with Alteryx is a plus.
