Responsibilities As an administrator with Sabre Systems, Inc. you will be supporting the Airborne Acoustic Signal Processing (AASP) team that's integrating software into one of the Navy's most technologically sophisticated aircraft platforms, the P-8A. This is a full time, in person role located at Sabre Systems in Warminster, PA. The position involves system administration tasking for the management of computer systems and networks, including maintenance, security, and upgrades. Specific duties may include, but are not limited to: Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems in classified and unclassified environments Troubleshoot systems primarily in a Linux environment and secondarily in a Windows environment Installing, configuring, and managing the Linux operating systems and related tool sets supporting NAVAIR. This includes gathering requirements, developing and conducting design reviews, along with "as approved" implementations within the mainstream corporate infrastructure Keeping servers "compliant" per NAVAIR and DISA policies to include backup and disaster recovery requirements, anti-virus protection, and implementing system security. Knowledge of backup plans and rotation cycles Maintaining the information on the Knowledge Base site Producing documentation that details and describes the systems, procedures, events, and any associated processes Building new infrastructure servers Maintaining, tuning, and patching systems for optimum performance and security. Migrating or upgrading systems, where applicable. Participating in weekly routine maintenance tasks Responding to system failures promptly to bring applications back online Occasional travel to Naval Air Station Patuxent River in Patuxent River, Maryland to support the Airborne Acoustic Signal Processing lab Training and mentoring junior system administrators spread across multiple locations Qualifications Requirements: Six (6) years or more of practical experience executing tasks such as: Configuring network hardware (e.g., servers, routers and switches) Upgrading and repairing computer networks Troubleshooting network issues Assisting network architects with the design of network models Implementing security measures and basic testing If candidate does not possess 6 years of experience as described in the above bullet, then Satisfactory completion of Navy "A" and "C" schools plus no less than four (4) years of hands-on experience after completing schools or service equivalent schools is an acceptable substitute. Certified in two or more of the following: CompTIA A+ CompTIA Network+ CompTIA Security+ Cisco CCNA Cisco CCNP Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) VMware Certified Professional (VCP) An active DoD Secret Clearance is required and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secet Clearance is required Must be a US Citizen Selected candidate will be required to pass a background investigation Desired Qualifications: Associates or Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in the Computer Science/Information Technology discipline (degrees in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, network engineering, information systems, cyber security, or management of information systems technology) Experience in DoD Information Assurance/Cyber policy and procedures to include hardening of systems, implementing Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and scanning desired Experience with Linux Server to include the build, maintenance, and troubleshooting, as well as addressing, service requests, routine sever maintenance (firmware, failures, hardening, etc.), and server consolidation Experience with LINUX: Ubuntu, Red Hat and CentOS Windows experience Virtualization experience Critical thinking skills and the ability to "think-outside-the-box" to solve complex technical issues is essential Overview Sabre Systems, Inc., has been providing innovative technological solutions and services for Department of Defense, Federal Civilian, and commercial customers for more than 30 years.
