Responsibilities Peraton is actively seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to join our dynamic Cyber Mission business unit in Jessup, MD. In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in supporting one of the most extensive engineering contracts across the Intelligence Community. This full-time opportunity demands 1,880 hours of dedicated support annually, based at a customer's site. As a Senior Systems Administrator, you will be instrumental in crafting system administration solutions that align with our strategic goals. Your responsibilities will include the creation of comprehensive bills of materials, innovative network designs, and detailed diagrams, ensuring robust documentation for new and upgraded installations. Your collaboration with network, storage, and server teams will be crucial in developing solutions to complex challenges. You will assess and respond to demands for new systems, tailoring them to accommodate capacity needs and user specifications. Additionally, you will evaluate the necessary power, space, cooling, and funding requirements to realize these projects successfully. Qualifications Individual Capabilities/Experience Required: Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or universityand ten(10) years' experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required. Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level I or higher is required.
Ability to break down complex problem space, formulate technical strategies, build action plans, and track progress against established baselines to resolve technical challenges and meet customer expectations.
Position requires TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems, to include user accounts and workstations.
Provide support for the dispatch system and remain involved in the resolution process.
Configure and manage LINUX, UNIX, and Windows operating systems and installs/loads operating systems software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configuration.Individual Capabilities/Experience Desired: Strong writing and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in groups to complete tasks bounded by constraints.Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
