Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Supply Base Management Specialist (Level 4 or Level 5) to join our Strategic Missile and Defense Systems Team in Huntsville, Alabama. Position Responsibilities: Leads supplier/subcontractor business relationships, in-service requirements and performance to contractual obligations and expectations. Manages and monitors supplier quality, delivery and financial performance. Leads the development of mitigations plans to avoid risk and resolve issues impacting customers and programs. Develops and implements supplier base plans to support customer, program and commodity strategies. Analyzes supplier and business processes and procedures to identify improvement opportunities and incorporate into contracting strategies. Acts as primary point of contact for suppliers, customers and programs. This position is hybrid. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team's discretion and could potentially change in the future. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (An Interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post Start is required.) Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): 5+ years of experience managing suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services. 5+ years of experience in root cause analysis and corrective action. 5+ years of experience in project management or project scheduling. Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Bachelor's degree or higher. Experience working in Manufacturing Operations. Typical Education & Experience: Level 4 Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.) Level 5 Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 15 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master years' related work experience, 19 years' related work experience, etc.). Relocation: This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense. Shift Work: This position is for 1st Shift. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
