Senior Structural Engineer

Our client is in search of an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join their team. As a key member reporting to the Associate Director, Engineering, your responsibilities will include: Developing designs, specifications, and cost estimates for a range of civil and structural projects across facilities in the US, Canada, and Mexico, with a focus on facility and heavy industrial equipment foundations. Overseeing project management and on-site construction to ensure compliance with project requirements and design specifications. Utilizing extensive knowledge of current industrial facility construction practices and a strong technical understanding of structural analysis and design in materials such as steel, concrete, and wood. Demonstrating proficiency in technical written communication, delivering effective oral presentations, engaging with clients, fostering teamwork, and providing leadership. Requirements: - Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. - Professional Engineer (PE) license. - Thorough understanding of heavy industrial facility construction practices. - Comprehensive technical expertise in structural analysis/design in steel, concrete, and wood. - Experience in project and construction management, along with proficiency in AutoCAD. - Comfort working in confined spaces and challenging environments like dirty, hot, and humid settings (e.g., Paper Mills). - Ability to work at heights and climb ladders when necessary.
