Job Description:
Client is seeking a Senior Structural Analysis Engineer to join our team.
In this exciting role, the engineer will have the opportunity to support the conceptual and detail design of advanced hardware through the full product life cycle via dynamics and structural analysis.
The engineer will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with individuals from complementary disciplines within the Engineering, Manufacturing, and Sub-Contracts organizations.
The engineer will have the opportunity to apply research to the planning, design, development, and testing of new aerospace and related products.

Job Description:
Analyzes, researches and develops structural engineering specifications involving metals, non-metallic or composite structural materials for product design, or operation of aerospace product to include structural analysis and dynamic analyses. Analyzes damage tolerance, durability, design allowables and structural modeling. Specific structural engineering specialties may include dynamics and loads, stability and stress fatigue and thermal analysis. Analysis tools utilized include ANSA, ABAQUS, and NASTRAN (or similar finite element analysis pre/post processors). Design tools include CREO and CATIA.

The position will report to the program mechanical analysis lead and be responsible for providing stress and dynamics support to the development team. A strong foundation in both stress and dynamic analysis is required and the candidate shall be proficient with relevant analytic tools for structural analysis and be able to create and correlate analytical models. The candidate must be knowledgeable with linear statics, dynamics, laminated composites, and advanced non-linear static solutions, preferably using the NASTRAN solver. The candidate must be experienced with classical analysis techniques, and familiar with aircraft store load factors and dynamic loading, distribution and derivation of airframe loads, and sizing and layout of primary airframe structure and structural joints. Familiarity with laminated composite fabrication techniques and analysis, fuel systems and tank design, aircraft bomb-racks and derivation of lug and swaybrace loads, deployment of folded aero surfaces, and aeroelasticity/flutter analysis are desired. The work will be fast paced and require the evaluation of multiple competing concepts. The candidate must have the experience and demonstrate the ability to quickly assess design concepts and provide immediate and useful feedback to the team, be an active participant in technical interchange meetings, and be able to quickly and concisely document their
