Job Title: Senior Structural Steel Estimator

Overview: We are seeking a Senior Structural Steel Estimator to join our construction steel erection group, specializing in large and complex structures such as arenas, airports, stadiums, convention centers, and large warehouse facilities. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in estimating structural steel projects and a proven track record in accurately pricing large-scale construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Estimation: Lead the estimation process for structural steel projects, including material takeoffs, labor analysis, subcontractor bids, and cost assessments.

Complex Project Analysis: Analyze project specifications, drawings, and scope of work to understand project requirements and develop comprehensive estimates for large and complex structures.

Cost Optimization: Identify opportunities for cost savings and value engineering without compromising quality or safety standards.

Bid Preparation: Prepare detailed and competitive bid proposals for submission to clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements.

Vendor/Subcontractor Coordination: Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain pricing and negotiate contracts for materials and services.

Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities related to structural steel construction.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure alignment of estimates with project goals and objectives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in structural steel estimation, with a focus on large and complex projects.
• Strong understanding of structural steel materials, fabrication processes, and erection methods.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
