Summary

Target RWE is looking to hire a Senior Statistician to join our Epidemiology & Statistics team with a focus on improving the health and well-being of people through principled data science.

Our science teams work with external collaborators to solve important problems in medicine and public health. Our software developers and data scientists build cloud-based, web-deployed analytic and visualization tools driven by the needs of our collaborative research.

What You'll Do

Contribute to the design and implementation of new studies
Write statistical analysis plans
Assemble analytic data files using R-based tools that exploit various AWS technologies
Conduct statistical analysis using R markdown and custom R-based analytic applications
Maintain strict version control of analyses and documentation using Gitlab and Confluence
Manage aspects of study planning, timelines, and resource requirements
Oversee the work of junior statistical staff assisting on projects
Contribute to the development of systems to ensure timely and cost-effective results
Interact with external clients and internal scientists
Conduct complex, important work under minimal supervision and with wide latitude for independent judgment

Your Education and Experience

Masters' degree in relevant field with 5+ years of experience or PhD/DrPH degree in relevant field with 2+ years of experience. Proficiency in R. Background in epidemiological research and causal inference is preferred.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Solid understanding of statistical methodology. Proficiency in R. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where creative problem-solving is often needed. Ability to interact successfully with external clients and business leaders. Ability to independently manage statistical work on multiple projects. Experience working with large health care claims databases and/or electronic medical record databases.

Total Rewards

The salary range estimated for this position is $90,000 to $130,000 per year. This position is also eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company and individual performance. Compensation will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Actual compensation will be confirmed in writing at the time of offer.
