Job Purpose: FMIS software engineers develop the next-generation medical informatics applications for doctors, paramedical personnel, medical staff and patients. This position will report to a software development manager. The main responsibilities would be software development of independent features, as well as participation on development of bigger features developed by multiple developers.

Job Duties: Architect, design, develop and test/troubleshoot the DICOM subsystem. Provide leadership for the system architecture, design and implementation. Understand and refine requirements both technically and from a user's perspective. Provide product and development process improvements at a technical level. Lead and participate in design reviews. Assist Service in troubleshooting and debugging multifaceted DICOM and HL7 issues. Perform optimization for single and concurrent users. Develop medical imaging solutions. Develop DICOM and HL7 communications and resolve any performance/implementation issues within the subsystem. Design and develop multi-process and multi-threading applications. oversee system workflow design and development, patient, study and image management, DICOM Query/Retrieve, Storage Commitment, Modality worklist management. Develop application functionality using SQL with Oracle and SQLServer RDBMS. Utilize C Java, dot net, relational database, and DICOM/HL7. Build software products to be used in marketplace. Implement industry modalities including CT, MR, and US imaging.

Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field and five (5) years of experience in position offered or related position. Must also have experience in medical informatics industry including experience utilizing C Java, dot net, relational database, and DICOM/HL7; building software products to be used in marketplace; and implementing industry modalities including CT, MR, and US imaging.


Minimum Pay

USD $123,400.00 Annually

Maximum Pay

USD $124,000.00 Annually
