Senior Software Engineer II

Duties include the following:
(1) Construct complete web applications, which are primarily single-page apps written in JavaScript (React, ECMAScript 6);
(2) Mentor junior engineers and assist them in growing their engineering skills;
(3) Participate in code reviews to help verify work by team members, as well as educate them on any gaps in their knowledge;
(4) Provide technical leadership and direction for team projects;
(5) Write and carry out automated testing, system testing and debugging;
(6) Liaise with team members to solve development issues;
(7) Perform pager duty (on call rotations for operational support); and
(8) Design decisions with reliability, maintainability, usability, readability, performance, and scalability of the overall solution in mind.
Employer requires candidate to have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field and five (5) years of progressively more responsible work experience as a software engineer or closely related occupation. Alternatively, employer will accept a Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field and two (2) years of work experience as a software engineer or closely related occupation.
Candidate must also have the following:
(1) Demonstrated ability with JavaScript (ECMAScript 6) gained through two (2) years of work experience;
(2) Demonstrated ability building web applications with JavaScript Frameworks such as React, Vue, and Angular gained through two (2) years of work experience;
(3) Demonstrated knowledge of architecting and designing software solutions to meet business requirements gained through two (2) years of work experience;
(4) Demonstrated ability writing automated tests to ensure reliable and performant software gained through two (2) years of work experience; and
(5) Demonstrated ability debugging user interface application issues and improving application reliability gained through two (2) years of work experience.

All years of experience may be gained concurrently.
Telecommuting is an option.
