Salary Range: $120,000 - $160,000 (Please see below for more info on salary) Back End Software Developer SimVentions, consistently voted one of Virginia's Best Places to Work, is looking for Senior Software Engineers to work on a new and emerging Navy tactical systems. The Engineer will be part of a team to support the US Navy focused on developing and modernizing Electronic Warfare (EW) systems. Responsibilities: Write, test, debug, and document new code in C that adheres to modern best practices and standards
Document code and engineering procedures
Participate in virtual team meetings
Assist in creation of user manuals and other technical documentation
Help to facilitate functional testing of software
Requirements: Minimum of 6 years of Software Developer experience in web-based technologies using a combination of the following: C , ASP.NET, .NET Core, MVC, REST, JSON
Expert-level understanding of architecture and design patterns with a solid understanding of object-oriented design and clean coding
Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, Postgres, or similar
Experience with source control such as Git, Subversion, or similarExperience in an Agile development environment
Experience with project management software such as Jira, Gitlab, or similar
Fluency in English
MUST be a US Citizen
Must have active Secret Clearance Preferred Skills & Experience: Experience with Blazor is a plus
Candidates with user experience / interface design experience strongly preferred
Experience with virtualization technology and containers is preferred
Education: BS in Computer Science, Informatics, Computer Engineering, or related STEM field preferred
Industry certification required for IAT Level II in accordance with DoD 8570 (for example CompTIA Security+) - willing to obtain prior to start date
Clearance: A Secret Clearance is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance. Travel: 10%
