Responsibilities: Perform in-depth diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on robotic systems to ensure they operate at peak performance. Develop maintenance procedures, schedules, and documentation for preventive and corrective maintenance activities. After the robotic cell has been installed and activated, responsible for liaising directly with the customer to address robot sustainment and troubleshooting. Analyze system logs, error codes, and performance data to identify root causes of issues and implement effective solutions. Act as a primary technical point of contact for customers, guiding them through troubleshooting processes and issue resolution. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded. Provide technical expertise during customer visits, meetings, and workshops to discuss maintenance strategies and system improvements. Coordinate with remote support engineers to diagnose complex issues, develop solutions, and deliver outstanding customer support. Continuously assess and enhance the effectiveness of remote support processes and tools. Collaborate with field application engineers to ensure seamless deployment, maintenance, and operation of robotic systems in the field. Oversee the planning and execution of on-site visits, ensuring timely resolution of technical challenges and effective communication with customers. Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in robotics technology, maintenance practices, and industry trends. Provide training to customers, field teams, and support engineers to enhance their technical capabilities and ensure consistent service delivery. Contribute to the refinement of robotic system designs based on field observations and customer feedback. Collaborate with internal engineering teams to share insights and drive improvements in system reliability, performance, and ease of maintenance at peak performance. The position requires a Masters degree, or foreign equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field. The position also requires three (3) years of experience in job offered or in a mechanical engineering-related occupation. Other Requirements: Professional experience must include: Three (3) years of experience in robotics system maintenance, troubleshooting, customer support and manufacturing automation. Two (2) years of experience with cyber-physical systems, 6DOF robots and/or EOAT (end of arm tooling). Experience with 3D solid modeling, analysis, and development of 2D manufacturing drawings. Programming knowledge in C , Python, and other similar languages. Experience with robotic control systems. Technical background in robotics, automation, and mechatronics. Familiarity with industrial facilities and equipment. Ability to work with customers and willingness to travel domestically within the United States to customer sites as needed up to 30% of the time.
