This Senior Research Associate position at The Evaluation Center will support the EvaluATE project (evalu-ate.org). Funded by the National Science Foundation, EvaluATE seeks to educate people about evaluation through open-access events and resources. This position will oversee the development of training materials and learning cohorts to support EvaluATE's evaluation capacity building activities. Major Duties Develops and leads webinars and workshops on a range of evaluation topics using proven training strategies and building on effective practices. Develops just-in-time resources such as checklists, guides, and templates to improve the work of evaluators and enhance the evaluation capacity of evaluation consumers. Collaborates in the development and implementation of an evaluation badging program, which will involve determining requirements, topics, and levels. Facilitates the application of learning among external participants by organizing and facilitating learning cohorts. Collects and analyzes data as needed for project evaluation and action research in accordance with ethical and technical principles. Collaborates with team members, external partners, and advisors to ensure training materials and activities are relevant and appropriate to context and needs. Contributes to scholarship by writing articles and presenting at professional conferences. Leads discrete components of a larger project under the general direction of a principal researcher. May contribute to applications for external funding as a co-principal investigator. Minimum Qualifications Doctoral or terminal degree in a relevant discipline, plus at least 2 years' relevant experience, or Master's (or equivalent) degree in a relevant discipline, plus at least 6 years' relevant experience. In rare instances, a Bachelor's (or equivalent) degree, plus at least 10 years' relevant experience. Knowledge of the research or scholarship process, data collection, analytical and statistical methods. Demonstrated record of research achievement. Demonstrated success in funding acquisition. Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Proficient office software skills, including word-processing, spreadsheets, and presentations. Demonstrated interest, skills, and experiences working with diverse groups.
