Boeing Global Service is seeking a highly motivated Senior Software Engineer/Product Owner to become part of the Training Systems - Battlespace Simulation Management (BSM) team in Hazelwood, MO. Develop subsystems for Boeing Flight Trainers such as the Instructor/Operator Station, Brief/Debrief Station, Synthetic Environments, and core building block technologies used for all our flight trainers (graphics, video, networking, mission planning, exercise management & control). BSM is responsible for the design, development, manufacture, and maintenance of training devices for a wide variety of commercial and military aircraft. Developers on our team are responsible for all phases of the software lifecycle, including architecture, design, implementation and test. The BSM team is a large software development team comprised of several smaller agile teams, some with specialized skills. Our backlog includes everything from new feature development using ground breaking technology to maintenance of legacy software baselines. The successful candidate will need to be comfortable working in a self-directed fast-paced environment. Adaptability, the ability to work closely with others and an open mind are essential attributes of team members. Experience in software development is required. A background in any or all of the following is desired: military aircraft, weapons, simulation, training systems. Position Responsibilities: Team Product Owner in the Scaled Framework SAFe
Lead with the documentation and maintenance of architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems
Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system
Lead with test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met
Captures information to support software project management
Documents deployed processes and tools and collect metrics
Modeling complex warfare interactions in a Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) architecture.
Supports software research and development projects
Troubleshoots complex software issues
Contribute to the creation of new distributed components and interactions that align with the future system architecture
Software development tasks including detailed software design, coding, and unit/integration testing of customer desired features/user stories
Develop and sustain new and existing applications as well as solve and resolve various software issues This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team's discretion and could potentially change in the future. Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements: This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or other technical degree
Experience as a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) 8+ years' experience years programming in C/C
8+ years' experience in Object Oriented Design and Programming

Knowledge of radar, electronic warfare, infrared environment, weapon systems, physics
Experience (academic or practical) in aerodynamics, Guidance and Control (G&C), sensor modeling, HLA High-Level Architecture (HLA), electronic warfare, and/or communications systems Education/experience Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or physics (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
