Job Details:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quality Technician to join our dynamic engineering team. This individual will play a critical role in maintaining and improving the quality of our products. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of injection mold processes, quality management systems (9001, 13485), and Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) operation. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a quality assurance role within the engineering industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular quality inspections and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (9001, 13485).
  • Operate and program the CMM to measure the dimensions of parts and products accurately.
  • Analyze quality data and identify areas for improvement in the quality system.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to develop, implement, and improve the quality management processes.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to junior quality technicians.
  • Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues.
  • Lead root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions for product and process-related concerns.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to address and resolve manufacturing, design, and quality problems, and ensure the effective implementation of corrective actions.
  • Maintain and manage the calibration of all inspection equipment.
  • Review and approve product and process control methods.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality assurance role within the engineering industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of quality assurance standards (9001, 13485).
  • Proficiency in operating and programming CMM.
  • Experience with injection mold processes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to perform root cause analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality control applications.
  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) certification is a plus.
  • Must be detail-oriented and have a high level of accuracy in problem-solving and documentation.
