What you will be doing as a Senior Property Accountant
- Lead accounting and reporting functions for multiple Operating Properties
- Administer various legal agreements including Loan Agreement, Partnership Agreement, and Property Management Agreement
- Maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders involved in the Properties
- Perform month-end close and reporting tasks, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting packages
- Apply general knowledge of accounting standards including GAAP, IFRS, Tax, and Cash
- Support transition projects from development to operations or set up acquired properties
- Conduct financial reporting, lease accounting, and operating expense reconciliations
- Manage budgets and variances for operational properties.
- Support draws, capital calls, deposits, acquisitions, and distributions
- Collaborate on ad hoc projects such as accounting system implementation and new process implementation
What you need to bring to the table as a Senior Property Accountant .
- 2-5 years of related experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- Background in real estate/property management
- CPA preferred
