The main duties include, but are not limited to:
Manage projects from proposal development through execution
Establish and maintain liaison with the customer throughout the entire project to resolve problems and coordinate service functions
Provide input on the development and implementation of project / program management
Participate in and coordinate project rescue efforts designed to extract maximum potential value from a project in its current state
Incorporate changes into scope, schedule, cost, earned value management, plans, and the project environment.
Coordinate the review of project risk with management and provide status reporting
Be responsible for providing consistent technical and administrative direction to the Project Controls team members in performing activities with respect to project execution and planning
Provide guidance, direction, coordination, initiation of work, organization, and evaluation consistently in project execution and systems
Support operations from acquisition of new work through project execution and closeout
Develop and implement baseline changes in accordance with NTESS approved change control processes
Coordinate the review of project risk with management and provide status reporting
Assist in the review of contract documents
Technical comprehension of engineering, procurement, and construction techniques, including their interfaces and interdependencies
Participates in planning and establishing schedules, forecasts, budgets, parameters, etc., and monitors progress to assure schedules are met and work is performed within budget EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
BS/BA degree in project management or other STEM field and a minimum of 10 years of directly applicable experience MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Position requires knowledge and experience in most aspects of project management and project control activities with the ability to become proficient in all
Experience with project management tools, such as Oracle Primavera, P6, Microsoft Project, Deltek Cobra & Acumen
Ability to work in a diverse work environment
Satisfactory results of a pre-employment screening, which includes a background check and drug screening,
Ability to fulfill and promote L&A core values
Requires a DOE Q security clearance or Active DoD TS Clearance DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Previous experience on DOE sites and programs
Project management experience in a DOE/DoD engineering/manufacturing or systems integration organization
Experience in developing operating and financial plans
Knowledge and experience in project administration and controls activities
Excellent written and oral communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
Ability to organize and perform under strict deadlines and changing priorities
Excellent analytical, facilitation, and decision analysis skills
Some knowledge and skill in prime contract formation, negotiation, and administration
Be responsible to ensure that approved changes are incorporated and implemented
Skilled in applying team building concepts
Skilled in oral and written communication LOCATION
