Senior Project Manager - Civil Engineer, Solid Waste Job Summary Our client has an immediate opening for a Senior Project Manager - Civil Engineer with their Solid Waste Consulting Services Division to perform a variety of work related to landfills and other solid waste facilities. The ideal candidate will provide support to projects in all phases and independently evaluate, select and use standards, techniques, procedures and criteria for projects. This position may also support procurement and field phases or projects with engineering knowledge and field experience. Senior Project Manager - Civil Engineer, Solid Waste Responsibilities
•  Manage mid-sized to large projects
•  Establish scope, designs, schedules and cost controls consistent with their discipline and compatible with client objectives
•  Collect and interpret engineering data, develop project design, develop specifications, grading plans, stormwater management plans, and performs detailed technical analysis of complex project issues
•  Develop work with existing and new clients
•  Prepare proposals and cost estimates
•  Review, modify, approve and PE stamp drawings and reports
•  Coordinate and oversee subcontractors
•  Provide field inspection.
• Manage project budgets
•  Ensure conformance to applicable engineering codes and standards as well as company policies and procedures
•  Communicate with Regulatory Agencies
•  Prepare Facility Expansion Plans, Construction Estimates and Permit Applications. Senior Project Manager - Civil Engineer, Solid Waste Position Requirements
•  BS or higher in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or related field with 10 years of relative Solid Waste experience
•  Professional License in Engineering in Massachusetts preferred
•  Knowledge of Federal and State Regulations and permit applications and has a good working relationship with governmental agencies
•  Proficient in preparing defendable plans, specifications, CQA plans to minimize change orders
•  Experience in construction oversight, processing requests for payment, responding to requests for information, and reviewing requests for change orders a plus
•  Experience with one or more of the following computer programs: AutoCAD Civil 3D, Carlson, HydroCAD, and/or similar program
