Who we are looking for: We are currently looking for a Senior Project Manager-Construction to be based out of our Chandler AZ facility. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this person will be responsible for overseeing the larger/high profile projects within the region while managing direct reports to complete the core projects of the region. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to lead a high- performance geographically disbursed team in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment. Experience in lean manufacturing or business system-based company is a plus. What you'll do: Direct all phases of project management including procurement/contracting, bid completion, scheduling, initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, controlling and closeout phases of the project. Drive safety initiatives and expectations for the region. Responsible for hiring, terminating, compensation, and performance evaluation of direct reports and work group including tracking performance, coaching, training needs, onboarding carpenters, and motivating team. Visit Construction Sites Routinely during the course of a project, the site visits would include observing construction activity to verify conformance with the contract documents, quality of workmanship, and safety. Identify and document any deficiencies. What you'll bring: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or related functional areas 5+ years of experience in construction management or related fields, including construction inspection, estimating, scheduling, and project controls. Proven ability to lead a high-performance geographically disbursed team in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment. Excellent organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills Advanced Microsoft Office skills with ability to quickly learn internal software and programs (eCMS, Salesforce, Procore) Proven communication and customer service skills Within 3 months, you'll: Learn the Atkore Business System Learn our internal software and programs (eCMS, Salesforce, Procore) Participate in coordination meetings with all internal and external team members. Within 6 months, you'll: Take ownership of direct reports and work group Maintain/oversee daily office operations. Lead performance tracking, coaching, training, and development of direct reports and regional group efforts. Within 12 months, you'll: Analyze and approve final bids that make up the final estimate for a project. Forecast regional revenue and margin expectations on a weekly basis.
