This Opportunity WSP is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have solid project management experience, leadership experience, excellent communication skills, and ability to work with a group of experienced professionals. Senior Project Manager shall be responsible for all aspects of a project. This includes resource and design planning, estimating, and coordination and control of a project from its inception to completion. You will be responsible for ensuring that the client's requirements regarding the functionality and standards are met. You will also be responsible for ensuring that that the project is completed successfully. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for dealing with any delays that may happen during the project, emergencies and/or unforeseen conditions that may occur. A professional engineering license and Project Management Professional certification are desired. This position requires a minimum of 15 years of project management experience. Your Impact Strong commitment to company's safety and quality programs and ensure safety practices are adhered to on all projects. Developing and maintaining client relationships. Managing/working on technical assignments and direct design related projects. Managing scope, organization, budget, and schedule from simple to complex $1M+ projects. Managing multiple projects at one time. Ensuring projects are completed within established Design Standards. Planning, directing and coordinating investigative studies and all types of designs. Generating proposals, change order requests, and track client billings. Scheduling and estimating the time required to complete the project. Coordinate and work with multi-disciplined engineering staff throughout the U.S. Determine the best source of internal resources and ensure sufficient project staff are available. Overseeing construction projects, managing resources and coordinating design changes during the construction process. Ensuring projects are completed within schedule and budget; and develop contingency strategy if schedule or budget are not being met. Overseeing the selection of trade contractors and general contractors who are ideal for the completion of a project. Obtaining the necessary licenses or permits. Maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations. Some overnight travel required. Who You Are Required Qualifications B.S. or M.S. in engineering, desired 15+ years of related experience Preferred Project Management Professional certification. Valid driver's license. Flexibility to work and travel outside normal business hours as required. Construction background desirable. Desire for continuous learning and ability to learn quickly on the job. Must be computer proficient with working knowledge of MS Excel and Word.
