POSITION SUMMARY

The Project Manager position will be responsible for developing, planning and executing projects with the knowledge and ability to successfully guide them through a stage-gated process. Is responsible for the accuracy, adequacy and conformance with prescribed procedures and specifications. Will be assigned to lead projects and be the point of contact for company personnel. This position will provide engineering support for capital, regulatory, and expense projects.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor of Science Degree from accredited institution in Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering required
  • PMP and PE certifications are desirable but not required

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+years of project engineering related experience
  • Knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards
  • Demonstrated knowledge of economic principles, project management and customer service
  • Fluent in English, must have strong verbal and written skills
  • Demonstrated competencies of priority setting and organizational agility
  • Demonstrated competencies of developing peer relations, participating as a team member and leading others
  • Ability to analyze, reason and solve increasingly complex problems
  • Ability to adjust to frequent change, managing budget and schedule to meet Key Performance Indicators

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • According to internal guidelines, initiate and complete project tasks from inception to implementation
  • Adhere to company guidelines for Capital and Expense Projects
  • Monitor project metrics including budget and cost expenditures
  • Deliver projects on time and on budget
  • Write and/or review engineering specifications
  • Prepare, procure and/or review engineering drawings
  • Prepare and evaluate contractor bid packages
  • Monitor construction activities
  • Support Operation and Maintenance Departments as assigned
  • Consistently keep Stakeholders advised of progress via oral and written reports

  • Develop level of competence and trust so others seek guidance
  • Assigned projects are complete within deadlines and budget, performing as intended
  • Assist with the efforts to increase plant reliability profitability and modernization
  • Conduct and promote actions which are safe and environmentally sound
  • Adherence to all company policies and procedures
