Salary: $120,000 - $160,000 per year

Job Details

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise, train, and mentor project managers and superintendents.
  • Assist and guide superintendents in solving complex construction and code problems.
  • Ensure that company's policies and procedures are followed including jobsite safety program.
  • For all assigned jobs:
  • Review engineering and architectural drawings and specifications; assist with estimating job costs; and, monitor progress and ensure compliance with plans and schedules.
  • Participate in pre-construction meetings; inspect jobsites at least weekly; produce weekly reports to the Director of Construction; verify change orders are documented; and, ensure customer satisfaction through job completion; and, assist sales team with facilitating collections as needed.
  • Oversee buyout for each project and cultivate & maintain healthy, effective and mutually beneficial relationships with vendors and subcontractors, while seeking out new sources for same. Spot-check payables weekly.
  • Investigate and resolve client inquiries and complaints.
  • Advise Director of Construction of problems with staff and projects.
  • Create increased profitability through creative cost-saving measures.
  • Participate in the emergency on-call rotation and manage the BUCU process and equipment.
  • Practice safe driving for Camp and encourage direct reports to do likewise.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field of study
  • 10+ years of commercial construction experience at a General Contractor
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Project Management in the Construction industry
  • Prior experience with commercial tenant improvements (corporate office, banking, retail, federal, and medical project experience strongly preferred)
  • Strong project estimating and scheduling skills.
  • Development of client relationships, sales/business development for new opportunities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Project Management Software (AutoDesk), Estimating Software (ProEst), and Scheduling Software (MS Project)
