Our company is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Project Manager to join our Construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing large scale construction projects from conception to completion. This role requires a high level of responsibility, leadership, and decision-making skills as you will be responsible for managing project teams, budgets, and timelines. You will also be involved in strategic planning, risk management, and contract negotiations. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in the construction industry, with a focus on commercial and healthcare projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of construction projects from initiation to completion.
  • Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and specifications.
  • Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring they are executing tasks according to the project plan.
  • Review work progress on a daily basis and adjust schedules or plans as needed.
  • Meet contractual conditions of performance and ensure all legal requirements, building and safety codes, safety inspections, city guidelines, and local and state regulations are met.
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks and develop contingency plans.
  • Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
  • Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.
  • Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts, and obtain permits and licenses.
  • Analyze, manage, and mitigate risks.
  • Foster a culture of safety and ensure all safety protocols are followed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry, with a focus on commercial and healthcare projects.
  • Proven experience in project management and team management.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
  • Exceptional leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to negotiate and work with clients and subcontractors.
  • Proficient in project management software.
  • Excellent knowledge of relevant rules and regulations as well as quality standards and human resources.
  • Conflict resolution and conflict management experience.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • PMP or equivalent certification would be considered an asset.
