Job Overview:

Are you an experienced Senior Project Architect who is passionate about leading a team and delivering innovative solutions that exceed clients' expectations? We invite you to join our team at CPG. As a Senior Project Architect, you will be responsible for leading multiple large-scale, complex design projects from initial concept to construction completion for key clients. We are seeking a dynamic team player with exceptional communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, capable of building strong relationships with colleagues, clients, consultants, and stakeholders at all levels.


RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Prepare detailed drawings of architectural designs and plans for buildings and structures according to specifications provided by architect.
  • Monitor and oversee the construction documentation process including reviewing and approving shop drawings.
  • Analyze building codes, space and site requirements, and other technical documents and reports to determine their effect on architectural designs.
  • Meet with external contacts including clients, contractors, and engineers to identify and resolve problems.
  • Meet with internal contacts including designers, production staff, project managers and architect of record to clarify design intent and streamline documentation process.
  • Perform site visits at the construction site to confirm compliance with construction documents.
  • Review and comment on applications for payment and change order requests.
  • Perform code analysis and develop code strategies.
  • Mark up and review shop drawings.
  • Perform other related duties as required.




EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture; or, equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 10 or more years of experience in Architecture required.
  • Registered Architect License required.
  • NCARB Certification preferred.
  • AIA membership preferred.
  • LEED AP BD+C accreditation preferred.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit.
  • Knowledge of office standards and building codes.
  • General knowledge of construction.
  • Project management and organizational skills.
  • Good judgement and decision-making skills.
  • Problem solving skills with ability to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions to complex problems.
  • Leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills to lead teams and interact with clients.
