Senior Program Manager

Contract: 12 + month contract role

Location: Columbus, OH area with traveling up to 50% within the Midwest Region



The Sr. Program Manager role will be responsible for managing, large-scale, nutritional facility and process capital projects, between $50MM to $250MM, for multiple Midwest sites in our client's network. This will include preparing project scopes, budgets and schedules, specification, purchase, installation and qualification of facility, utility, HVAC, as well as processing equipment. Provide technical support to manufacturing operations and other business units as required. Act as a facilities subject matter expert.



Job Responsibilities:


Manage multiple projects/ongoing work activities for large capitol expansions and day to day operations.


Guide the successful completion of major capital programs and contribute to the completion of team, plant and/ or global goals, and ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.


Ensure that area projects are managed in accordance with best practices including on-time start-up, completion within budget and meeting established business partner expectations for successful project outcome(s).


Identify and recommend specific areas for change to meet cost, quality, supply or new product goals.


Manage and review status of ongoing projects, progress with developing new projects, tracking or benefits of completed projects and sets priorities.


Support the manufacturing, facility and utility operations in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues, and will act as a technical subject matter expert on pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment and systems.


Comply with site wide procedures including change control, documentation, deviation reporting, cGMP compliance, safety, and electronic data security.


Ability to utilize strong analytical and problem-solving skills.



Education, Experience and Skills Requirement


Bachelor's Degree in engineering discipline or equivalent technical degree and 10+ years of experience.


3-5 years of recent and relevant experience in facilities, utilities, HVAC, and processing equipment.


Must have experience with reading blueprints / wiring diagrams / basic electrical experience.


Proficiency in Excel / Word / Outlook / Project/ CAD (or equivalent).


Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


Good people management, direct or indirect management, skills.


Good communication skills, proactive, good initiative and ability to work under pressure.


Background in manufacturing, automation, and utility support systems.


Knowledge of regulations applicable to the pharmaceutical industry, for example FDA and EPA.


Experience with Life Cycle Asset Management.
