In a fast-paced environment like production, the manager is an integral part of the manufacturing process. This individual guarantees that manufacturing remains a smooth and efficient process by monitoring employees and organizing workflows. They must be competent and comprehend complex operations. The supervisor must lead by example and optimize day-to-day activities while minimizing the costs. Their goal is to ensure that production processes deliver products of maximum quality in a profitable manner.

This role requires 80% direct floor supervision and 20% administrative duties. The Production Supervisor reports directly to the Operations Manager.

The Job to be Done:

Strategize with Operations Manager to set daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicate them to employees

Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules

Implement and enforce operational policies and procedures

Check production output according to specifications

Submit reports on performance and progress

Oversee and coach employees

Identify, implement, and drive continuous improvement activities

Foster an environment of employee communication and high morale

Train employees on how to safely operate equipment and follow procedures
