Job Details

Responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products.
2. Plan and purchase raw materials, ensuring optimal inventory levels are maintained.
3. Generate and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) accurately reflecting product specifications.
4. Use MRP systems to forecast demand, plan production tasks, and manage inventory.
5. Prepare requisitions to obtain necessary materials, components, and assemblies.
6. Collaborate with the manufacturing team to ensure production deadlines are met.
7. Identify potential bottlenecks or delays in the production process and devise strategies to overcome them.
8. Liaise with suppliers and vendors to negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and terms.
9. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
10. Comply with all industry regulations and safety standards in all production planning activities.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in production planning and control, preferably in the aerospace or manufacturing industry.
3. Proficiency in MRP systems and reporting, with a strong understanding of production planning principles.
4. Experience in planning and purchasing raw materials, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
5. Demonstrated ability to prepare requisitions and manage Bills of Materials.
6. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with suppliers and internal teams.
7. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve production issues.
8. Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
9. Proven track record of contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
10. Knowledge of industry regulations and safety standards is a must.
