Position Summary

Role and Responsibilities

Samsung Ads, the advertising monetization arm of Samsung Electronics, leverages proprietary real-time TV viewing behavior and insights to promote relevant brands and content experiences for consumers. We partner with brands, agencies and content owners to deliver unique advertising opportunities on native placements within our Smart TV platform and programmatically with a cross device solution.

Samsung's unique first party data helps brands connect to their audience as they explore content across desktop, mobile, tablets and our Smart TVs. The Samsung Ad platform delivers high-quality audience targeting powered by three key components: first-party audience data at scale, world-class data science, and brand-safe cross-device ad inventory.

The Opportunity

We're looking for a confident individual to lead Product Marketing efforts for Samsung Ads across multiple development efforts. They should have a self-starter mindset with a passion for driving the go-to-market strategy for innovative products and features, translating customer needs with the products and solutions that we bring to market. The Senior Product Marketing Manager will be the dedicated liaison between Product Management, Business Operations, and the Insights & Analytics and sales teams to ensure streamlined communication and regular sharing of market knowledge within the Brand Sales, Emerging and Agency Development domains.

Candidates must have a strong knowledge base of digital advertising and programmatic. This lead will primarily focus on Artificial Intelligence initiatives supporting both the Samsung Ads DSP and Audience Intelligence, with the ability to pivot to other product development efforts as needed. They should be well-versed in ML-driven products, quickly understand complexities across various models, and have the ability to create clear, concise narratives enabling Sales and driving advertiser adoption. Knowledge of the connected TV space and cross-device advertising is a plus. They will be expected to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all appropriate levels within and outside the company.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Define revenue driving marketplace solutions based on market demand and identify opportunities to apply ML strategies powered by our unique data offerings.
  • Work with the product marketing team to enable sales and implement go-to-market strategies for many models across multiple verticals.
  • Influence allocated budget and resources for improving ROI and business impact.
  • Work directly with Sales to identify new business opportunities and serve as a product expert in pre-sales ideation, client meetings and solution development, especially in conjunction with Insights & Analytics, Product & Engineering, and Samsung Research for the advancement platform and audience performance.
  • Develop product solution narratives based on relevant use cases, customer successes, unique value propositions and differentiators for Samsung Ads Product Solutions.
  • Play an integral role in identifying and prioritizing product development needs based on sales and marketplace feedback, while effectively communicating business requirements in order to deliver an effective roadmap.
  • Drive product communications and gear the business team with most relevant information on new product innovations and in-market product enhancements for Samsung Smart Audiences and Samsung DSP for both internal users and self-serve clients.
  • Serve as an evangelist for Samsung Ads products through partnering with PR for thought leadership, social media, and speaking engagements.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience working in ad tech and media
  • Domain knowledge in product marketing, product solutions and AI/ML
  • Deep understanding of the digital ad landscape, in particular programmatic
  • Demonstrable experience partnering with product and sales teams based in different regions/countries
  • Experience working on teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Technical understanding of AdTech workflow a plus
  • Ability to make complex products easy to understand and sell
  • Experience in solution development, pricing and revenue projections associated with products, and the ability to pitch and get buy-in on the plan
  • Ability to forge strong working relationships with stakeholders in Finance, Sales, Product and Operations
  • Willingness to help others, continually learn and apply a healthy sense of humor where appropriate.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Advertising or related field
  • Master's or MBA degree helpful
