Purpose and ScopeThis position supports plant wide projects of continuous improvement, process improvement, process development, manufacturing cost reduction, and addition of new equipment. The Engineers provide leadership and technical direction to maintenance, contractors, and manufacturing employees. ResponsibilitiesUtilize engineering principles and techniques to design, specify, document, and implement specialized process equipment, components, tooling, etc. Work as a member of a team to implement continuous improvement ideas, and large scale projects. Manage projects, or portions of projects, such as changes to equipment layouts, process improvements, process development, and new product launches; insuring projects are completed on-time and within budget. Support Maintenance and Production areas with technical expertise to correct daily problems affecting production. Requirements: Technical/Functional SkillsDemonstrated ability to work in 2D and 3D CAD drawing/modeling packagesDemonstrated working knowledge of Drafting Standards, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, Machining Practices, Material Properties, Heat Treatment, Lean, Safety & Quality Standards and/or RegulationsMechanical Intuition / Problem Solving SkillsGood Technical Writing and Communication SkillsProject Management SkillsMS OfficeMachine shop and/or manufacturing experience preferredCNC programming experience preferred EducationBSME/BSMET or related Engineering DegreeAll qualified applicants shall be treated equally according to their individual qualifications, abilities, experiences and other employment standards.
