Role reports to: Associate Director, Nutritional Science Location: Skillman, NJ Skillman, NJ - Kenvue's corporate headquarters is currently located in Skillman NJ, but is scheduled to move to Summit, NJ in or around early 2025 Travel %: 10% What you will do The Senior Nutrition Scientist will assume a key role within the R&D Nutritional Sciences team. They will support the Associate Director, Nutritional Science in leading innovation, claims and external engagement for the Nutritionals category and across multiple brands at Kenvue. This role requires a true passion for innovation, coupled with the ability to translate nutrition science into differentiated and compelling business propositions. This individual will: Act as an internal nutrition science expert, specializing in VHMS (vitamins, herbs, minerals, and supplements), strategically aligning expertise across key benefit areas. Drive front-end innovation activities by identifying emerging nutrition science, potential ingredients, trends, and nutrition needs mapping, in line with unmet consumer needs. Actively contribute to claim ideation strategies and translate Nutrition Science into distinctive and impactful communications across various Nutritional brands. Conduct thorough research and analysis of scientific literature to keep the internal team abreast of advancements in the dynamic Nutritionals landscape. Generate nutrition science content and scientific communications in partnership with the cross functional team to enhance our brand presence. Possess an in-depth understanding of the scientific foundation supporting Kenvue Nutritional products. Support the identification and engagement with external Nutritional Science Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs). Establish and maintain a comprehensive global ingredient and claims database. Foster close partnerships with all functions responsible for product innovation, including global innovation, marketing, product development, and CBI, ensuring successful delivery of projects. What we are looking for Required Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nutritional Science or Nutrition is required. Masters or Phd is strongly preferred. Required Years of Related Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of related industry experience is required. Experience with Dietary Supplements/Functional Foods is highly preferred. Broad knowledge of Nutrition and Health field. Ability to translate nutrition science into consumer relevant innovation concepts, claims and communications. Ability to communicate complex scientific concepts to non-scientists/marketers. Ability to work successfully in a "team-based" environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and take accountability for projects. This position may require up to 10% annual travel (domestic and/or international).
