Overview:
As a Senior Network Engineer at IMSG, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our complex network infrastructure. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, troubleshoot intricate network issues, and drive continuous improvements to ensure optimal performance, security, and scalability.
Responsibilities:
1. Network Architecture and Design:
o Develop and enhance network architecture, considering scalability, redundancy, and security.
o Design and implement high-availability solutions for critical network components.
2. Network Implementation and Maintenance:
o Deploy and configure network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and VPN gateways.
o Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize network configurations.
o Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
3. Security and Compliance:
o Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access controls.
o Collaborate with the security team to address vulnerabilities and mitigate risks.
o Stay up-to-date with security threats and recommend proactive measures.
4. Network Troubleshooting and Support:
o Investigate and resolve complex network incidents, minimizing downtime.
o Provide tier-3 support for network-related issues.
o Participate in on-call rotation for critical incidents.
5. Capacity Planning and Performance Optimization:
o Monitor network capacity and plan for future growth.
o Optimize network performance by analyzing traffic patterns and adjusting configurations.
6. Collaboration and Documentation:
o Work closely with cross-functional teams (systems, applications, security) to ensure seamless integration.
o Document network designs, configurations, and procedures.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master's preferred).
Minimum of 10 years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on large-scale enterprise networks.
Certifications: CCIE, CCNP, or equivalent certifications preferred.
Proficiency in routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, etc.).
Experience with network virtualization (SDN, NFV) and cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Candidates must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder to qualify
