Senior Network / Azure Cloud Architect

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Network Architect to lead the design, implementation, and management of our network infrastructure, both on-premise and within Microsoft Azure . The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and hands-on experience of Azure networking services, security, and best practices, with a strong background in network architecture, security, cloud integration, and monitoring . This position offers the opportunity to shape our network infrastructure's future, ensuring it meets evolving business needs while maintaining high standards of security and compliance.

Who You Are: You are a seasoned network architect with extensive experience in designing and managing advanced network infrastructures, both on-premise and within Microsoft Azure . Known for your deep knowledge of network security and best practices, you excel in dynamic environments and effectively solve complex network issues. You have a strong background in on-premise systems, ensuring they support and align with business objectives . You communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, fostering collaboration and innovation. Your leadership skills enable you to mentor junior engineers and guide teams through challenging projects. Continuously learning and staying ahead of industry trends, you are a proactive problem-solver committed to aligning network infrastructure with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Solid hands-on experience of Azure and Azure Networking .
  • Design and deploy scalable, secure, and highly available network solutions in Azure.
  • Configure and manage VNets , subnets, and Network Security Groups.
  • Implement and manage Azure VPNs, ExpressRoute, and other connectivity solutions.
  • Implement security measures like Azure Firewall and DDoS protection.
  • Maintain documentation of network configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with IT teams, including DevOps, Cloud Engineers, and Security teams.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to team members and stakeholders.
  • Participate in on-call related emergencies to network /security incidents & vulnerabilities , provide availability for disaster recovery exercises and monthly maintenance weekend patching schedule s .
  • Recommend and implement network improvements.
  • Develop network and security strategies, roadmaps, and architecture models.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry regulations and standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science , Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications are a plus (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Security Engineer Associate , or other relevant certifications).
  • Ten ( 10 ) years of experience in Network Infrastructure Architecture and Engineering.
  • Experience with hybrid cloud environments and integrating on-premises networks with Azure.
  • Deep understanding of network infrastructure, protocols, and security measures.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and standards.
  • Proficiency in designing, implementing, and managing Cisco and Meraki networking solutions on-premise or integrating with Microsoft Azure

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science , Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Advanced certifications such as Microsoft Certified : Azure Expert , or similar.
  • Five ( 5 ) years of technical leadership and relevant architecture experience.
  • Work with various vendors and technologies, including Cisco, Meraki, Zscaler experience preferred, specifically with ZPA (Zscaler Private Access) and ZIA (Zscaler Internet Access)
  • Experience with multiple cloud platforms and co-location providers .
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale network projects and migrations.
  • Proficiency with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
  • Experience in implementing and managing Zero Trust architectures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with a focus on mentoring and team development.
  • Experience with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., Ops Manager, SolarWinds, Nagios , etc . ).
  • Healthcare industry experience and familiarity with healthcare-specific regulations and standards.
