ABOUT PLUMPJACK:
The PlumpJack Collection of Wineries and its operations are growing fast, and we are adding opportunities in our Marketing Department located in Napa. Offering more than two decades of management expertise, PlumpJack has built a solid, respected brand, with a portfolio of properties that includes wineries, restaurants, bars, retail, and resorts.

SCOPE:

The ideal candidate is well-versed in building and executing a performance-based marketing plan with the goal of driving increased awareness of four Napa Valley winery locations. The ideal candidate will conceptualize and execute forward thinking marketing content for day-to-day use in all marketing channels. The candidate will function as a thought leader in Marketing with the ability to manage the Digital Marketing Manager. The ideal candidate will work closely and collaboratively with DTC, Wholesale, and PlumpJack Brand Marketing Team. In addition to the wine industry knowledge this position requires an enthusiastic appreciation and respect for wine as well as a desire to educate and share this with current and potential customers.

ROLE AND EXPECTATIONS:

Leadership and Strategy

  • Lead strategic initiatives in ecommerce to drive revenue through DTC sales channels.
  • Project management: highly organized with the ability to take multiple projects from concept through execution, accompanied by the ability to prioritize.
  • In partnership with PJ Brand Marketing team, develop integrated marketing plans and programs that fuel customer discovery, interest, engagement, and retention for our channels.

Technical and Analytical

  • Develop, execute, and manage A/B testing optimization strategies spanning ad assets, landing pages, targeting, media tactics, and new media channels, funnel marketing to deliver direct profitable growth.
  • Confident distilling data to help identify opportunities for revenue optimization across all DTC and Marketing channels.
  • Maintain a firm grip on the competitive landscape, market opportunities, and customer base with customer and member acquisition as key performance indicators.

Market and Customer Focus:

  • Identify and develop strong partnership opportunities within the Napa Valley and beyond to increase market presence.
  • Enhance customer experience in our (4) Napa Valley tasting rooms.
  • PR Liaison with Glodow Nead Communications. Identify media opportunities to present to GNC, on-site media coordination, general PR management.
  • Maintain PlumpJack Collection Social Media profiles. Work alongside PJ Brand Marketing team for support.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years' manager level marketing experience working in a role that demonstrates marketing acumen, working within a DTC ecommerce business, with a preference working in wine, hospitality, and lifestyle brands.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with minimum 3 years supervisory experience, including the growth and development of staff.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, creative, and organizational skills demonstrated by the ability to make timely and sound business decisions.
  • Marketing, business, and financial acumen as the foundation for managing brands within strategic framework.
  • Effective at establishing cross-functional relationships across the DTC team (Tasting Room Management; Wine Membership; Outbound Sales.)
  • Technically proficient with knowledge of ecommerce and content building software - Klaviyo(email), Canva, Figma (email marketing design platform), Dash (photo catalog), Notion (project manager), WineDirect (POS/CRM), ShipCompliant, and Redchirp (SMS).
