Job Summary:

As Ruggable's Senior Manager of Strategic Merchandise Planning, you will play a critical part in maximizing the performance of our product assortment. You will serve as a thought partner to cross-functional leaders across the company, ensuring we present the right products to our target customers in a compelling way. Specifically, you will guide decisions around which concepts our design team pursues, how products are presented on our site, and how we plan assortments throughout the year. This position is ideal for a budding merchandising leader who excels in product strategy and data analytics as well as cross-functional collaboration.

What You'll Do:

  • Combine trend forecasting, market research, gap analysis and customer feedback to develop a compelling and actionable merchandising strategy
  • Deliver our annual merchandising plan, biannual brand narratives, and quarterly merchandising reviews
  • Partner closely with Textile Design, Creative Strategy, and Product Line Management to inform design concepts and guide product assortment decisions
  • Curate our textile design assortment, including seasonal assortment planning and identification of white space in our portfolio
  • Recommend design recolors, refreshes, revisits, and sunsets
  • Use merchandising analytics to evaluate product & design performance, optimize our product offerings, and enhance the customer journey
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Creative to craft compelling product messaging and marketing collateral that resonates with our target customers

What You'll Need to Have:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, Fashion Management, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in home goods and/or fashion merchandising
  • Prior working experience in a predominantly eCommerce / DTC environment
  • Proven track record of setting and delivering on a cohesive assortment strategy
  • Strong quantitative problem solving, with experience utilizing sales data and analytical tools to inform product decisions
  • Experience managing high-visibility cross-functional initiatives under tight deadlines
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

Preferred:

  • Experience building and managing a team
  • Knowledge of customer behaviors and preferences in the home goods industry
  • Previous experience working at a high-growth startup
  • Passion for home decor and a deep understanding of design trends

Compensation:

  • $135,000 - $155,000 per year base salary
  • An annual bonus percentage that varies based on level of role
  • Employer matching (up to 3% of base salary) for company sponsored 401K plan
