A leading insurance broker start-up operating across the US, is seeking a Senior Manager of Reporting & Accounting to join their rapidly growing team. This client is privately held and backed by a major Asset Manager. With their high growth model, they have become key players in the insurance space and have doubled in size year over year. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing business that is going through transformations, integrations, innovations and acquisitions.
Job Title: Senior Manager of Reporting & Accounting
Location: NYC (hybrid 3 days in office)
Duties and Responsibilities will include:
- Leading the monthly, quarterly and annual US GAAP reporting
- Lead new strategic initiatives for the business including system implementations and process improvements
- Acquisition integration
- Supervise, mentor and train staff in the Controllership team
- Lead contact for audited financial statements
- Build and maintain internal controls
Experience and Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 6+ years of progressive experience in accounting and reporting
- Insurance experience highly preferred
- Extensive experience and knowledge in US GAAP and internal controls
- Great written communication and interpersonal skills
- CPA preferred
Salary: $150K - $175K base + bonus
