Our team is looking for an experienced, business-insights focused expert to support our Brand Marketing client roster based in our New York office. This role will work closely with the VP, Strategy to advise both our current and future clients on their sports and entertainment sponsorship marketing investments and other impactful marketing opportunities. This person will help lead research gathering and insights development for the Brand Marketing team's sponsorship investment strategy.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Works across Excel's Brand Marketing client roster and new business efforts to support the ideation process by way of key consumer insights
  • Translates data into meaningful brand engagements that deliver against brand and business objectives
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of campaigns and uses data-driven insights to assess the value of sponsorship investments.
  • Supports the day-to-day management of Excel Sports Management (ESM) Brand Marketing clients across all sponsorship marketing and activation initiatives
  • Leverages technology and expertise to generate meaningful insights from complex data sets that identify key partnership considerations and opportunities for optimization
  • Conducts research, and analysis and provides recommendations in an effort to gain greater knowledge of our industry, in support of client goals
  • Collaborate with members of Excel's Analytics and Business Intelligence team to support the analytics function in the sponsorship investment strategy to include portfolio analysis, strategic recommendations, and enterprise measurement frameworks

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA a plus
  • 5-8 years of direct experience in sponsorship marketing or brand marketing quantitative analytics
  • Experience in audience/consumer research preferred
  • Sports marketing and/or agency experience is a plus;

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Familiarity with consumer insights syndicated research tools (i.e. YouGov, Nielsen Scarborough, etc) preferred
  • Expertise in Excel with the ability to assess data sets at scale
  • Passionate about partnership evaluation and customer insights
  • Enthusiastic about identifying data-driven insights
  • Possesses self-awareness and is coachable, confident, curious, inquisitive, flexible and genuinely interested in learning a little more each day
  • An action-oriented, self-starter who loves being a part of a dynamic team, but also can generate a solid work product on their own
  • Must strive for the very best and be both willing and eager to go above and beyond for teammates and clients

The pay range for this position is: $95,000- $115,000 per year. This position is also eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus .

Ultimately, the salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
