POSITION The Senior Manager, Acquisitions is an integral and highly visible role within the Company, working in partnership with its acquisition and senior management team with a focus on management of select acquisition and acquisition related professionals responsible for identifying value-add opportunities in multiple geographies and product types along with helping to identify new markets, and opportunities. In addition, the successful candidate must be a leader, able to coach, collaborate and provide leadership in an entrepreneurial environment.
The individual would report to the CEO, President and Senior Managing Director, Investments and will be the senior operational executive in charge of overseeing daily operations.
LOCATION Los Angeles, but may consider alternative office locations.
RESPONSIBILITIES Including, but are not limited to: - Leading acquisition professionals pursuant to company investment objectives and benchmarks.
- Conduct analysis, risk assessments, and market research to identify opportunities and mitigate potential challenges.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of macro and submarket economic drivers, industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices to inform decision making and strategy development.
- Facilitating professional development, administering recognition programs, semi-annual performance reviews, and integrating performance management processes for acquisitions team members
- Driving acquisition results through 'hands on' process management and leadership
- Originating and identifying investment opportunities through his/her personal network
- Increasing awareness of the Company's capabilities through participation in business development activities
- Participating in the full a cqu i s ition p roc e ss , i n clu d ing d ue d il i g e nc e , third - party r e ports, a nd collaborating w ith legal and finance teams to facilita t e c lo s ings.
- Manage 'pipeline' reporting for deals under consideration, ensuring timely and accurate weekly presentations.
- Conducting recruiting, hiring, and onboarding activities including new employee orientation & training sessions
QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's degree in finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field: MBA, CPA or CFA preferred.
- Proven experience (15+ years) in real estate investment / asset management / acquisitions
- Strong leadership skills with a minimum of 10+ years in a leadership role and the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve outstanding results.
- Knowledgeable in multiple product types and west coast markets.
- Proven organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and multi-task to efficiently meet strategic and operational initiatives and benchmarks.
- Excellent computer skills, with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of the organization, and with outside parties and with the ability to assess opportunity and risk
- Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment to meet deadlines.
- Must possess a strong work ethic with a commitment to integrity, transparency, and ethical conduct in all aspects of the role.
- Must be a team player.
- Travel required (30%)
COMPENSATION $175,000-$200,000 base
