Summary / Purpose of the Position:The Senior Manager, Internal and Community Engagement, will support the execution of our North America Corporate brand strategy with a specific focus on our internal and community engagement activities.This is a strategic, hands-on, and highly visible role supporting the development of compelling messages, communications platforms and events that create a positive and motivating environment for employees centered around the company's mission, vision, strategy and culture. The role will also support local external communications through our community relations and volunteerism efforts.This role will work closely with the extended North America Corporate Affairs team. The position reports to the Associate Director of Internal and External Brand Engagement and will be a key member, and thought partner, on a very collaborative team.The candidate will have a passion for engaging our internal colleagues as brand ambassadors for Ipsen through the implementation of our strategic employee communications program. In addition, the role will support our local community engagement activities.Main Responsibilities / Job Expectations:Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Support the implementation of Ipsen North America's strategic internal communication plan.
  • Serve as integral internal communications partner to cross-functional teams by providing counsel and guidance on topics and projects related to communications and programming.
  • Oversee internal communications programs and platforms, including metrics to measure effectiveness of channel approach. Channels include but are not limited to company intranet, site signage, email communication, etc. In addition to assessment and ownership of current channels, make recommendations for new compelling ways to reach and communicate with internal and external/local audiences.
  • Lead logistics of all site or corporate-wide events that are organized through the Corporate Affairs team.
  • Contribute to team editorial planning including sourcing of story ideas and concepts through to final copy writing of materials.
  • Support Ipsen's volunteerism in the community as well as local community outreach and partnership with community organizations.
  • Contribute and provide input into the broader strategic communications/team plans developed by the North America Corporate Affairs function.
Knowledge, Abilities & Experience:Education / Certifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required; journalism or communications-related discipline is preferred
Experience:
  • 8+ years of experience within corporate communications function with focus and internal/employee engagement and community programming; biotech/pharmaceutical background a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills - with attention to proof reading
  • Strong organizational skills; able to manage multiple priorities at once
Languages:
  • Fluent in English

  • Ability to deliver and measure communications strategies and plans
  • Ability to work with people at all levels of an organization to complete projects

The Salary range for this position is : $112,500.00 - $165,000.00
