At Walmart, we strive to maximize customer value and drive Every Day Low Cost. This position will support our merchandising team through analyses, preparation, and execution to maximize joint value from our supplier relationships.

You will be a part of a team that supports acceleration of critical Supplier Programs, developing the strategy, supporting analytics to align cross-functional stakeholders and enabling execution across the organization. Examples of focus areas to drive EDLC include delivery of Defectives & Returns visibility, identifying end-to-end COGs savings opportunities as well as working with multi-functional teams to develop, align and execute Returns transformation.

You'll make an impact by

  • Leading the execution of multiple business plans by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning.
  • Developing, prioritizing, and executing key business strategies and communication platforms by managing cross-functional initiatives that impact store and corporate processes; making recommendations for system support developments; recommending merchandise priorities for store operations; providing insight to senior management and other business partners on key issues and opportunities to drive the business; and translating merchandise strategies for assigned departments into executable programs for store operations.
  • Driving the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning.
  • Ensuring business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; consulting with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders; soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost-effectiveness; and participating in and support community outreach events.
