Location BENTONVILLE, AR Career Area Supply Chain and Logistics Job Function Supply Chain Management Employment Type Regular/Permanent Position Type Salary Requisition WD What you'll do at Position Summary What you'll do We are seeking to hire a highly experienced and competent Senior Manager for our Global Logistics Procurement department supporting NVOCC and other business units. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and leading all procurement activities related to Walmart's Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier (NVOCC) services. This includes sourcing and negotiation of contracts, supplier management, cost control, risk management, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.Responsibilities: Develop, implement and manage procurement strategy for NVOCC services across the organization. Lead negotiations with carriers and other service providers to secure advantageous terms and conditions. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand and fulfill their NVOCC requirements. Manage supplier relationships and perform regular performance evaluations to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality services. Monitor market trends, competitor strategies and market suppliers. Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to NVOCC procurement. Manage risks related to NVOCC procurement and implement mitigation strategies. Develop and manage budgets for the procurement department. Provide leadership, guidance and support to the procurement team.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. A minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on NVOCC or ocean freight services. Deep understanding of market dynamics and sound business judgement. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage complex contracts.Familiarity with sourcing and procurement tools and software. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Strong analytical skills and the ability to create reports and conduct cost analyses. Strong project management and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Professional certification in procurement or supply chain management is a plus.This job description provides a general but not comprehensive list of the main duties of the role.
