The Opportunity - Senior Manager for the Data and Analytics (Remote - USA / CANADA)

We are looking for a Senior Manager for the Data and Analytics team who will be influential in driving our mission to increase the prosperity of the project economy. You will be responsible for our data stack, the technologies we use, and how data and analytics are provided to the rest of the company. Your understanding of the business will help you identify strategic questions and help you answer questions for the business. You will also partner with people across the organization helping with analysis and providing simple ways for people to answer common data questions.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills allow you to influence the organization. You will also be responsible for building roadmaps with the team that balance technical work, short term needs and longer term priorities.

This position reports to the head of engineering, leading a team of 2 analysts.

What you'll do:

  • Continue to build and maintain our data stack

  • Foster an inclusive team environment where your team can do their best work

  • Work on problems with your team, finding the right balance between delegation and doing the work yourself

  • Work across finance, success, support, product, engineering, and other disciplines to understand where data can help move the business forward

  • Partner with data minded people across the company to help them answer their own questions.

  • Provide deep analysis on strategic business questions

  • Advocate for quick iterative development accompanied by experimentation analysis

  • Ensure we have the right balance of work towards short term and long term goals

What you'll have:

  • Over 3 years of management experience.

  • Technical expertise in one or more of data engineering, data science, or data analytics

  • Proven ability to work across multiple stakeholders, understand business needs, and prioritize across them

  • Experience building and successfully growing teams

  • A commitment and drive for quality, technical excellence and results
