Job Details

Is your background a fit? Apply if you meet this criterion:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • CPA certification required
  • Strong technical accounting writing skills.
  • Experience in analytical, research, and project and stakeholder management skills

This role will provide guidance on technical accounting issues, ensure compliance with accounting policies and standards, oversee certain internal controls, and partner with business units on operational projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research complex accounting issues and transactions to ensure proper GAAP treatment
  • Draft memos interpreting accounting standards and advising on appropriate policies
  • Develop and deliver training on technical accounting topics
  • Assist with implementation of new accounting standards
  • Participate in external reporting and disclosure processes
  • Oversee day-to-day activities and development of accounting policy team
  • Partner with finance teams, business units, and leadership on special projects

Required Qualifications:

  • CPA certification
  • 5-10 years of progressive experience in Public Accounting or Banking as a financial or accounting analyst
  • Technical accounting and financial reporting knowledge
  • Project management abilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Commitment to the organization's culture and values

Preferred Qualifications:

MBA in Finance
