Our client, based in San Diego California is seeking a Senior Manager for Cloud Engineering and Development for a full time opportunity.
The daily duties will include managing the performance of technical projects to migrate current systems to a Cloud Environment. The position will require the management and supervision of cloud support services employees to ensure guidelines are followed and projects are completed on time. Additional management of design, development and implementation of cloud-based projects will be required. The Manager will supervise projects and vendor communications to verify new products meet delivery schedules and maintain scope. The management of teams include both Azure and AWS cloud services.
The Requirements:
- Understanding of core system administration tools, basic networking protocols, Cloud security, and compliance
- Experience with AWS and Azure is required (5+ years). Experience managing AWS or Azure
- Expertise with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Cloud Formation, and/or AWS CDK
- Experience with identity and access management strategies for the cloud.
- Experience with automation solutions relevant to Cloud Operations.
- Strong management skills, but also be able to dive into details as needed.
- Experience with ITSM tools.
- Experience with containers, orchestrating tools, and container management.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
